The “My Favorite Teacher” Project was founded in September 2017 by a small group of undergraduate students from the Fischler College of Education at Nova Southeastern University. They began with the goal of interviewing 5,000 people around the world in order to identify the qualities that make an exceptional teacher. After interviewing someone about their favorite teacher, the team sends a letter of appreciation to the “favorite teacher,” letting them know they made a difference in someone’s life. Through their continued efforts, the “My Favorite Teacher” team is impacting present and future educators through teacher appreciation and preparation.
